The International Monument to the Reformation, built in 1909. The monument depicts through statues, friezes, and historic inscriptions, the events which preceded and followed the Reformation.



For the 5OOth anniversary of the birth of John Calvin (1509-2009), the International Museum of the Reformation organizes various events. The major event of this jubilee of Calvin is a temporary exhibition entitled "A Day in the Life of John Calvin".

“Calvin Genève en flames”
To close celebrations marking the 500th birthday of Calvin, the theater plays Calvin Genève en flammes in front of the Reformation Wall in the Promenade des Bastions.
The audience will discover Calvin and his life from a more intimate and human angle than in more traditional portrayals.
