The trains between Luanda and Zambia stopped running many years ago. The railway station and the old trains are now the home of 6-8000 thousands displaced people.

As a result of the continuous civil war and unrest, many children have become orphans or have be separated from their familiy during the fighting.
About 250 children beteen 5-20 years old have found a temporary home at "The 11th November School" on the outskirts of Luanda, where they can stay and continue their studies.
